What to Do About Damaged Skin
When it comes to keeping your skin looking clear and fresh, there are many many hurdles that we have to overcome that go far beyond having the perfect skincare routine! As much as clean skincare products from Moraz can do for your skin, there are always the everyday issues that cause damaged skin. You may not have been aware of the ways that you have damaged your skin this summer, but better late than never, right? Try these skin care tips from Moraz that will surely restore your skin to that pre-quarantine glow that you worked so hard for!
These past months we have been exposed to a world-wide pandemic that has required businesses to either close their doors, have their employees work from home (or furloughed), children home from school, and strict social distancing measures put in place in essential places like the grocery store. All of that can be incredibly taxing emotionally and cause you to experience an added stress that you never had.
This added stress can cause your skin to break out with acne and blemishes all over! That added stress is no reason for lapsing on our skincare routine (and general self-care practices that make us feel good in this trying time).
To treat skin damage from stress, start by washing up your face with a facial cleanser, a vitamin E-rich facial serum, and don’t forget a nourishing moisturizer to refresh and rejuvenate your skin. You can always have a relaxing spa day at home.
Additionally, make sure that you are getting plenty of sleep! You should be aiming for a solid 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night. This can help you feel more relaxed, refreshed, and ready to take on the next work day from home free of stress and fatigue.
With all of this time on our hands, we’ve all become pretty good cooks and bakers from home! When we have this extra time on our hands it’s also common to snack on junk food more than usual. This can mean that our diet is full of carbs, heavy entrees, and plenty of sweets. In addition, alcohol, wines, and spirits will cause your skin to become dry, delicate, and irritated.
While there is nothing wrong with the occasional snack, you should be eating foods that are packed with vitamins and nutrients, like beta carotene and other phytochemicals that will combat inflammation in your skin.
No Need to Wear a Lot of Makeup
When you wear makeup, the product can clog your pores and cause acne and blemishes that can turn into small scabs. This can wreak havoc on your skin! Luckily, there’s no need to wear a ton of makeup while you stay home and practice social distancing! Use this time to clean up your skin with high-quality skincare products. We have the perfect line of facial products at Moraz, like our day and night cream, our vitamin E enriched facial skin booster serum, and our favorite facial cleansing gel — made with chamomile and achillea extract!
